More Strength....Less Stretch

POLYSTEEL® Ropes are superior to manila rope and conventional polypropylene mono-filament rope in virtually every respect.

Polysteel® ropes are manufactured from extruded copolymer (polypropylene and polyethylene) fibers whose unique properties result in ropes that, size for size, are almost triple the strength of traditional high quality manila rope, and twice the strength of conventional polypropylene rope. Not only are Polysteel® ropes far stronger, but they weigh much less, making them easier to handle.

Manila rope can experience a rapid loss of strength in adverse conditions, but Polysteel® rope has very good resistance to rot, mildew, acids and alkalis. Polysteel® will not harden with age, experiences no loss of strength either from wetness or from drying, and has among the lowest percent elongation. The abrasion resistance of Polysteel® rope is superior to manila and polypropylene rope and - a particularly important consideration for rigging applications - Polysteel® withstands shock load much better than manila rope.

Polysteel® ropes are produced on a unique state-of-the-art computerized production line which monitors all aspects of the manufacturing process to extremely tight tolerances, from fiber extrusion to the finished rope. The result is a rope of unsurpassed quality and consistency.

Helpful Tips

  • When Choosing a Rope, Make Sure:
    1. That the rope is adequate for the job.
    2. That it will withstand the required working load
    3. That it will withstand the elements it's exposed to

  • To Remove The Rope From its Coil:
    1. Position the coil so the inside end is facing the bottom
    2. Reach inside the coil and look for a loose end
    3. Pull on the loose end in a counter clockwise direction, so the first turn comes off the bottom
