Ågot Ltd is a vessel operator in Klaksvík, with one ship, M/S Ågot. The ship is 333 GRT and is equipped with both long-lines and nets. Long-line fishing is mainly from October to March, the catch being mostly cod and haddock. For the most part the cod is salted, but part of it and the haddock are prepared at the local fish-processing plant. M/S Ågot also fishes at greater depth for ling and tusk, which are also prepared at the local fish-processing plant.

Net fishing, practiced from March to October around the Faroes, is mainly for Greenland Halibut. It is processed into fillets which are sold to Europe and Asia. Greenland Halibut is a top quality product which is favoured in both Europe and Asia.
