The owner of the comany is Mr. Svenning Kjærbæk. The company has one 519-brt trawler, p/f Sverri Ólason, which was built in Vágur Shipyard in 1989 and has a crew of 16. From 1989 to 1991 the trawler mainly fished in the Baltic Sea, where the main catch was cod, and in the North Sea where coalfish was the main catch. From 1992 the trawler's main fishing zones were the Barents Sea and the North Sea, fishing for coalfish which was sold fresh, and cod which was processed to salt fish. The coalfish is sold fresh at the fish market in Hanstholm, Denmark, to the highest bidder, after which it is transported on ice to the buyers in Germany and France. The salted cod, on the other hand, is fully processed on board m/s Sverri Ólafsson, transported to the processing plant in Vágur

where it is classed into 6 different quality categories, packed, labelled and transported to buyers in Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Greece and Germany. The most valuable categories are the largest fillets which are sold by weight.
