Burmeister Elteknik ApS which was founded in 1971 is run by its two owners Mr. Ole Kabel and Mr. Aksel Lynge Nielsen. The company was originally founded to cover the need for services in the low current electronics area. However the owners soon discovered that services for power current electronics were also needed. The former has been serviced during the last 25 years by Burmeister Elteknik. The company has a concise knowledge of conditions in Greenland and an extensive net of customers all over Greenland. Burmeister's staff of twenty are all highly educated in their fields which include electro-technicians, fire alarm mechanics and supervisors, electricians and apprentices. The staff regularly up-dates their special knowledge by attending seminars, following up with developments and new techniques in the field.
The company's current projects include:
- Installation and maintainance of automatic fire alarm systems in Greenland and regular maintainance of fire alarm systems for all fire departments in Greenland.
- Installation and maintainance of radio communication systems for airports, fire departments, police departments, Grønlandsfly (Greenland Air) and others.
- Installation and maintainance of communication equipment and alarm systems for institutions such as schools.
- Planning and production of steering equipment for refuse disposal systems and central heating stations.
- Electrical installations and maintainance for residential houses, the public health system and the fishing industry.

Through working in the harsh climate regarding weather conditions in Greenland, Burmeister's has aqcuired an extensive experience which is hard to match anywhere in the world. The company is ready and able to assist both domestic companies and new-comers to Greenland with all electrical installations and maintainance.
