- an active meeting place |
|
When Greenland's Cultural Centre, Katuaq, opens in 1997, it will be the cultural centre of Greenland. But not only that. The new cultural centre will also mean completely new possibilities for a different and unforgettable conference venue in the heart of the fantastic world of the Arctic. With the opening of the new cultural centre, Greenland can offer the perfect surroundings for any conference. The building itself is beautiful, architecturally exciting and attractively laid out. It will also be possible to use the opportunity to see more of the world's largest island. The area surrounding Nuuk offers many possibilities for exciting excursions by ship on the fjord, between icebergs and whales. Anglers too will be delighted with the chance to try out their skills with both salmon and trout in many places around Nuuk. Nuuk Municipality and Greenland's Home Rule Government have produced an inspiring brochure on conferences in Greenland's new cultural centre. |
