About the Icelandic Wool
Icelandic woollens are incredibly comfortable in both mild and cooler weather. This is due to their unique, natural dual fiber trait. Unique in its construction, Icelandic wool consists of two types of fibers (see picture):

Inner fibers are fine, soft and crinkly-highly insulating. Outer fibres are longer, more sparsely spaced, smooth and water repellent. Together this irregular matrix creates air space, making Icelandic wool:

Lightweight - lighter than most other wool, yet it keeps you warm and comfortable.
Permeable - moisture is moved from the skin outward, to keep you comfortable and dry.
Absorbent in heavy rains, moisture not repelled, is retained and helps keep you dry.
Dirt resistant - besides repelling moisture, longer fibres deflect dirt, keep the garment cleaner, longer.

About the Norwegian Wool
Norwegian wool has unique qualities in springiness, giving volume to the knitwear. Dying of the yarn is done using environmentally friendly dyes. We offer woollens in two types of Norwegian wool.

1. Norse wool-worsted spun, quality yarn.
2. Norse light wool-worsted spun quality yarn, which is 50% thinner than Norse wool.
