Media In Iceland

The Icelandic State Radio (Radio 1) has a short daily news broadcast in English during the summer, at 7:30 am. On TV, Channel 1 has teletext news in English, and all the Icelandic TV stations carry a lot of foreign language (mostly English) material with subtitles. Many hotels and homes have cable TV with several overseas stations.
