Cantus – culture travels
Do you wish to expand the reputation of your choir? Are you looking to broaden the horizon of your art company? Experience new environments and cultures, perform and watch music, theatre or dance? Cantus, *ture travel company is based in Iceland and through our extensive network we can offer you culture tours throughout Europe.

Cantus offers customized tours with accomodation, music halls and theatres according to the needs of your group. We cooperate closely with the conductor and art director in choosing the appropriate venues and programmes to match the capabilities of the artists with the expectations and culture of the local audience. We make sure your concert performance gets the right exposure in the media and on the web.

Our favorite kind of tour is where a cultural exchange is achieved, where our guests get the chance to meet local talent and share common interests and experiences. We also organize travel packages for international music festivals in Europe and the USA. If you are interested in exploring Scandinavia, United Kingdom, Germany, Eastern-Europe or any European country for that matter, Cantus has the right channels to gain access for your group to the most prestigious venues, churches and concert halls.

Consider the following examples of successful tours that we have organized:

• Long Island Symphonic Choral Association participated in a culture festival in Stykkishólmur, having already traveled through the West and South of Iceland, including the famous Golden Circle, that includes Gullfoss, Geysir and Thingvellir in the year 2000.
• In 2001, two Icelandic choirs, Selkórinn and the Philharmonic Choir, made a five day trip to St. Petersburg, Russia performing Mozart’s Requiem with the St.Petersburg Philharmonia in the Schostachovic Hall at the Philharmonia.
• Vox Feminae an Icelandic female choir sang in the Vatican and various other places in Italy in 2003.
• Fóstbrćđur Male Choir travelled through Hungary, Austria and the Chzech Republic and won the gold medal in an international choir competition in Prague in 2002.
• The Milwaukee Youth Choir performed the Misa Creola in Hallgrímskirkja, Reykjavik in 1996, the concert being broadcasted on radio in every European country.
• The choir, Álftaneskórinn, performed at the Spring Prom at The Royal Albert Hall, London in 2002.
