Ghost Centre in Stokkseyri
The Ghost Centre in Stokkseyri is a Ghost Museum with all of the most famous ghosts in Iceland, on the third floor in a 1000 sqmtr. building. The entrance is located on the south side of the building by the harbour. The Ghost Centre is not recommended for children aged 12 or younger.

Guests will receive a CD-player with 24 ghost stories (approx. 40 min.) and walk through the ghost-maze, where they will experience the stories in the environment where they happened.

The stories can be listened to in English, German and Icelandic. In the reception you will find our Ghost Bar with drinks and a fabulous view of the ocean, not to mention our Brennivin-ghost who watches over us while you visit.

In the beginning of each story, the story-teller says a number. There are posters inside with numbers on them and visitors must be careful to follow the numbers inside. Room nr.19 is different from the others and you must follow the instructions written on the door! Just make sure the door is closed behind you when you enter, so the ghost can not escape...

Photography is prohibited
All photography is prohibited inside the ghost-maze, but only to protect visitors from angry spirits. We also advise our visitors to please turn their mobile phones on "silent" before entering the unknown.

Summer opening: Every day from 2 pm - 9 pm.

Winter opening: Saturdays and Sundays from 2 pm - 6 pm.

We open for groups with reservations.
