Mýflug Air
offers wide variety of aviation related services, including: charter-, sightseeing-, ambulance- and calibration flights along with special missions such as air drops, photography and VIP transportation. Myflug Air was founded in 1985 and is the holder of the air operators certificate number IS-014.

Our workhorse is the Beechcraft Kingair 200, it seats up to 9 passengers comfortably, has a high service ceiling and cruising speed, and it can operate from short runways, making it especially versatile for flights in Greenland and Iceland. For domestic charter and sightseeing flights we also have Cessna 206 and Piper Chieftain in our fleet, which seat 6 and 8/9 passengers respectively.

Sightseeing Flights,
are offered from our airfield by Lake Myvatn (after which our company is named) in Northern Iceland. We can also relocate our aircraft easily according to our customers needs. Lake Mývatn is located a short distance from some of the most beautiful and interesting sights in Iceland, such as Askja, Dettifoss (Europe’s most powerful waterfall), Mt Herdubreid, Jokulsacanyon and the largest glacier in Europe, Vatnajokull-glacier, making a sightseeing flight with Myflug Air an unforgettable experience!

We also offer arctic circle tours from Lake Myvatn and Akureyri to Grimsey island. The island is the Northern most point of Iceland, located on latitude 66°N and is inhabited by roughly 90 people. During summertime they enjoy daylight 24 hours a day as the sun never sets!

Specialized Services
Myflug Air provides air ambulance service to all of Iceland with a specially equipped Beechcraft Kingair 200 under a contract with the Icelandic government, and we are also able to acommodate for patient transportation to other countries, such as Greenland, Scandinavia and the UK.

Myflug Air also uses a specially equipped aircraft to perform flight calibration (airborne testing of navigational aids) in Iceland, Greenland and the Faroe Islands. Calibration flights are available to other countries as well, upon request.
