The hotel is situated on the northern coast of the Snaefellsnes peninsula in West Iceland. It is small, cosy hotel located on the waterfront near the harbour and enjoys both sea and mountain views. There are 29 en-suite rooms in the Hotel, providing sleeping facilities for 56 beds, a good restaurant and excellent service. The Hotel has wireless internet for its guests, a massage chair, a sauna and hotpots and a collection of tourist brochures for the area. Two rooms in the Hotel have been equipped for the handicapped.

The Hotel will be offering a special midnight boat trip in summer 2008 to search for puffins and other seabirds. This trip is offered only to our Hotel guests and advanced booking is necessary. Hotel Framnes underwent a face-lift in 2006-2007 and is now a comfortable, friendly hotel. Its central location on the peninsula makes it ideal for visits to the Snaefellsjokull glacier and national park.
