Brooch modeled on the upper roundel of the church door from Valthjofsstadur in east Iceland. This door was made close to the year 1200. It shows a knight slaying a dragon and delivering a lion from its clutches. The lion then follows the knight and finally lies mourning on his grave. Made from sterling silver.
