    Silver Rune Luck.jpg

    Bind Rune Necklace

Bind-Runes are runes that are joined together to form a single "stem".  They are signs composed of individual rune letters forming a word, for example "luck".

Sometimes several individual runes have been squeezed into a single rune.  It is believed that these runes were often used for abbreviation, often a way to save limited writing space on rune stones.

Very little is known about the Bind-Runes and it is even believed that no two look the same.  There are however some traditional bind runes, of uncertain age and origin, associated to magical concepts that are worn as amulets and talismans today.
