The little village of Vik has about 300 inhabitants. It is a small town with a great history,  where  you  can find a few of the oldest timber  houses in the south of Iceland. Commerce started there in 1890  and one of the oldest stores in Iceland is still located there.

Hotel Lundi (Hotel Puffin) sits in a peaceful setting at the  base of  Mount Reynisfjall in Vik. The hotel is housed within a very charming  house. It  has 10 double and 2 single comfortable rooms with a private WC, a shower, a hairdryer, and a telephone in each. Downstairs there is a cozy dining room and a bar where guests are welcome to relax, have a meal and a drink, and enjoy the Puffin’s  friendly  atmosphere. The hotel also offers sleeping bag accommodation in single, double and triple rooms with cooking facilities and a dining room where you can feel like you’re at home.

Hotel Puffin is a wonderful place for lovers of Icelandic sagas, nature, and birdlife. As the name implies, the area surrounding the hotel is teaming with puffins and offers bird watchers unique spotting opportunities.

There are also unique natural wonders to explore, like Reynisdrangar, 66m high rocks needles in the sea at the base of Reynisfjall.
