Restaurant Išnó is located on the second floor of Išnó, one of the oldest buildings in Reykjavķk. It was opened as a theatre and restaurant in 1998, following restoration to its original state. "Išnó" is short for "Išnašarmannahśsiš", i.e. the "Craftsmen's House". There is a coffee shop on the ground floor. It is open all days in summertime from 13:00-18:00 o'clock but during wintertime it is open on that time only on Saturdays and Sundays. The coffee shop offers soup and various light dishes, including delicious waffles and hot chocolate. In the summer, weather permitting, we serve refreshments outside by the lake. The restaurant on the second floor can accommodate up to 60 people at a time. It is open every night from 18:00 o'clock but closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The hall is also available for lunch groups (8 people or more) provided reservations are made 24 hours in advance. The theatre hall can also be rented for larger banquets and other gatherings. We emphasise good, classic Icelandic food, such as lamb, chicken, veal and game, and, of course, a wide variety of fish. The third floor has a lounge and bar where guests can relax over coffee or drinks and enjoy the lovely view of the lake.
