Birdwatching - Bird watching in Iceland.
Iceland is one
of the main breeding grounds for waterfowl in Europe. There
are no fewer than 16 species of duck known to nest in
Iceland, including two American species; Barrow's goldeneye
and the harlequin duck. Iceland is a paradise for
bird-watchers. For example you'll find in Reykjanes, a major
nesting grounds for the Arctic Tern. There are numerous
locations to choose from depending on the bird of your
choice, with tour operators offering early
summer tour packages.
