Rent a house in the West fjords of Iceland.

Discover the beauty and the tranquility of this untouched part of Iceland: The West fjords!

We offer accommodation for independent travel in a tidy, roomy and well equipped all year around house located in the Vatnsfjordur (The Lake Bay) nature reserve on the southern side of the beautiful Westfjords. The ferryboat “Baldur” lands nearby with service across the Breidafjöður Bay from the town Stykkisholmur on the Snaefellsnes peninsula in West Iceland.

The house has 5 bedrooms with 2 to 3 beds in each room (beds for 12 people total). It features a well equipped kitchen, a comfortable living room, one WC room and two showers. A natural hot spring is in a short distance down the beach. From this location you can travel to many of the most desirable sights on the North West side of Iceland: the puffin cliffs Bjargtangar (Latrabjarg), the unique sand beach of Rauðasandur, the abandoned ‘monument valley’ Selárdalur in Arnarfjordur, or simply hike in the beautiful surroundings and investigate the ten-million-year old petrified tree trunks of Surtarbrandsgil.

Prices:
Sleeping bags, min price pr. day for 8 people or less: ISK 15.600,-
