JRJ Super Jeep Tours has a long and successful history in offering Super Jeep Tours in Iceland. We travel into the highlands of Iceland´s untouched nature to view glaciers and volcanic craters, crossing glacier rivers en route.

Below are some of the tours offered by JRJ-Super Jeeps. In all these tours the staff off JRJ-Super Jeep will pick you up at your hotel or the Keflavik International Airport, according to your wishes.

Tour JRJ-1 June-July-August-Sept
A two day trip (Saturday and Sunday) to the Icelandic highlands, to visit glaciers, volcanic craters and glacier river crossings. Long and short walks in geyser area to a glacier, bathing in natural hot-spring ponds. Sleeping in a mountain hut. Bring your own sleeping bag or one will be provided for you at a minimum cost. Breakfast, lunch and dinner provided by us.

Tour JRJ-2 July-August-Sept
A five day trip to the world famous hot-spring Geysir, Gullfoss (the Golden Waterfall) and Thingvellir the parliament site where Iceland’s parliament was held regularly from the year 930 to almost the 20th century. Trip to the highlands to see glaciers and volcanic craters while crossing glacier rivers. Visiting lake Mývatn a natural phenomenon and Askja the volcanic caldera. Sleeping in a country manor one night, mountain huts and camping the others.

Driving past Vatnajökull the largest glacier in Europe crossing Gæsavatnaleid the toughest highland road in Iceland. Breakfast, lunch and dinner provided by us.

Day Tour JRJ-1 All Year Round
One day tour that lasts 14 hours, to Vatnajökull. Leaving Reykjavik 09:00 a.m. driving 5½ hours to the glacier then a moderate trip on the glacier for 2½ hours (exciting and exhausting) both in a snow-mobile and a snow-scooter. Returning in the evening. View incredibly beautiful scenery during driving.

Day Tour JRJ-2. Golden Circle and The Blue Lagoon
This tour is available all year around and JRJ Super Jeep will pick you up at your hotel or the Keflavik International Airport. It is a one day tour that lasts for 13 hours. You will get to know the Reykjavellir geothermal area; Thingvellir, the oldest parliament in the world; Geysir the most famous hot spring in the world; Kerid an ancient volcanic crater; Greenhouses at Hveragerdi where we stop for refreshment; Krisuvikurbjarg an ocean cliff with a seabird habitat where many ships have been lost; and at last the Blue Lagoon where geo-thermal water that naturally mixes with salts and minerals is said to have healing effects. Blue Lagoon bathing at the end of the day in natural lava surroundings has a very soothing and relaxing effect on tired travelers before the short drive back to your hotel or the Keflavik Airport.

Tour JRJ-3. Your Private Festival Tour
This tour is available all year around and can last for 2 days, 3 days, 4 days, 5 days or longer according to your own wishes. Staying at Guesthouse Himnasvalir in remote and quiet surroundings in northern Iceland far from nearest town. The Manor has a private hot spring, outdoor pool and wondrous opportunities for walks and hiking – a basket full of short trips with Super Jeep to various highland places when and if you wish, outdoor swimming-pool with warm hot spring water in nearest town, hot ponds, horseback riding, visiting neighboring farms with cows, sheep and horses – helping with feeding the animals if you like….! Deep Sea Fishing on a small fishing boat, visiting local museums, visit the local pubs, skiing, snow-scooters. Northern Lights watching when clear skies in winter. Midnight-sun during summer. Tour JRJ-10 Trace Your Roots
This tour takes you to the roots of many Canadians and Americans of Icelandic descent. We visit the Icelandic Emigrations Center and Mormon museum at Hofsós in Skagafjörður and the staff of JRJ-Super Jepp Travels will help those who wish to trace their family roots here in Iceland and perhaps discover long lost relatives.
