Kine's home page

Kine was founded in 1996 by three engineers who had been working together at the National Hospital of Iceland and at the University of Iceland. After winning a competition for new products (“Snjallraedi”), they established Kine. The main focus of the company has been to design products that are both simple and intuitive.

Kine's mission is to be a a pioneer in Biomedical Engineering.

Our emphasis is in the development of progressive products for the fields of Health, Biomechanics and Human Performance. The goal is to contribute to human welfare by bringing research and practice together, with objectivity and efficiency.

We design and produce software and equipment for motion analysis. Kine makes objective motion analysis easy. We rely on years of experience and a comprehensive knowledge in the field of biomedical engineering. 

KineMyo
- Wireless digital EMG units

Kine supplies wireless digital EMG units. KineMyo is the ultimate in EMG technology. It is a surface EMG unit; the most advanced unit available on the market today.

With KineMyo data is transmitted via radio waves to a computer-connected receiver. No belts or any other artifacts are necessary; the units are completely wireless. This enables the subject to have the utmost freedom of movements.

KineMyo enables data acquisition from as far as you want. Even if the receiver is out of reach, data will still be collected and stored by each unit. This data can be recovered as soon as the unit is within range again. There are no distance limits with KineMyo!

KineMyo is accompanied by KineLog. KineLog is the EMG data acquisition software included in the KineMyo package. It allows you to view the EMG signal as it is being collected and stored.

Kineview
- Windows based motion analysis software

KineView is a 2D Windows based motion analysis software. KineView combines 2D digital video capturing with EMG data acquisition. Yet, KineView can also be used separately as a 2D movement analysis system or as an EMG acquisition software. Emphasis is placed on simplicity and efficiency. It is the quickest to learn system available!

With KineView you have immediate viewing of the acquired data on the screen. AVI files are generated and saved. The exact synchronization of EMG signals with the video data ensures validity and reliability. KineView allows input of up to 16 EMG channels.

KineView provides the user with a built in report generator for customized reports and graphical representation of data, as well as four different interactive tools to be used for movement analysis, including the automatic tracking feature.

KineView is highly portable: All you need is your video camera!

KinePro
- Professional movement analysis solution.

KinePro is the full integration of KineView and KineMyo, as one professional movement analysis solution.
