Guesthouse in South Iceland Guesthouse Ljosbra in the town of Hveragerdi at the South West side of Iceland offers an exotic environment with greenhouses, which, along with tourism is the town´s main industry. The Guesthouse is located in the middle of the town and all necessary services are very close by. Due to all the greenhouses in Hveragerdi the town is often called the "Town of Flowers". About 300 meters from the Guesthouse there is a camping ground. There are 32 beds at Guesthouse Ljosbra. There are six double rooms, and two single rooms and we also have two rooms for four persons, and two rooms for five people. There is a guest kitchen that offers all necessary facilities. You can also buy dinner. Our dining room is very friendly at it can accommodate about 35 people. There is also a cosy living room were you can relax and there you will find f.ex. TV. 
The town of Hveragerdi Iceland has many interesting sites to visit. The greenhouses, the National School of Horticulture, the hot spring Gryta, the 50 m outdoor swimming pool, and the natural steam bath are among the places all guests should visit. It is located in Hveragerdi you can also find a golf course and guided riding tours, where you can choose from tours from 2 hours up to 9 days in lovely surroundings. The guests can choose between three different hiking trials which leads up to the valleys close by (Reykjadalur, Grænidalur and Gufudalur). Along all the hiking trials there are natural hot pools where it is possible to bath. It's ideal for groups and travel agencies to book at Guesthouse Ljosbra. Open all year around!!   Guesthouse Ljosbra is located only 800 meters from Highway no. 1. There are a number of buses from the eastern part of Iceland and from Reykjavik which stop in Hveragerdi. The buses stop only 300 meters from the guesthouse.  |
