Guests are welcome to walk wherever they please, in the woods or by the river Sogid, a big river with plenty of fish and bird life. The house and grounds are splendid. There are plenty of activities. Hill walking, horse riding, golf and plenty of sights near by. The south of Iceland is famous for sightseeing and spectacular mountain and coastal scenery. There are many gourmet restaurants within easy reach.
Location
The lodge is 32 miles (51km) from Reykjavik just of the main road around Iceland, easy to find. Few minuets away is a small town with everything you could possible need, supermarket, gas station, liquor store.
Around and about
Iceland's most beautiful waterfall and our biggest geyser area are only about 40 minutes away and so is also Thingvellir our most cherisable natural park where the tectonic plates of Europa and America are drifting apart. In Thingvellir Icelanders established the first democratic parliament in the world witch is still working today but in Reykjavik.
The lodge
Each lodge has 3 twin bedroom and a fully equipped kitchen dining area, a sitting room with and south facing window looking across the beautiful scenery. The shower room has a hand basin and toilet. Bed linen and towels are provided. The kitchen is equipped with cooker, cutlery, china, utensils etc. Outside there is a barbeque and Jacuzzi.
