Snæhestar organizes very special riding tours, which explore the most beautiful spots of the peninsula by horse and mini-bus in a personal atmosphere. Up to twelve participants are accommodated in homely summerhouses at the farm and in our house.
The amazingly beautiful landscape with mountains, sea, sandy beaches, lakes, lava fields and last but not least the magically fascinating glacier Snæfellsjökull as well as the close contact to the unique Icelandic horses and people make this riding tour a very special experience!

There is also the possibility to go on short rides along the beach or the mountains and lakes. Among the reliable horses you will surely find your favourite, no matter whether you are a total beginner or experienced rider. Enjoy the great Icelandic horse in its natural surroundings and get to know the Icelandic way of riding and handling horses.

You can rent three cosy little summer cottages which consist of a bedroom, a living-room, a small kitchen, shower and toilet and are ideal for two to four people, especially families. There is a fantastic view of the glacier from all cottages

There is lots to see and do around Lýsuhóll. The area is perfect for sightseeing, walking along beaches and cliffs or hiking in the mountains. Next to the farm there is a swimming pool with natural hot mineral water, which is very healthy and unique in Iceland. In the Lýsuvötn lakes you can catch trout and salmon. There is also a 9-hole golf course nearby.
