About Us

Octavo Guesthouse offers a beautifully designed apartment in a quiet street in the oldest part of Reykjavik. From the apartment window one has view over the old west-side of town and to the west a beautiful mountain range across the bay. On a clear day you can see the glacier Snaefellsjokull in the distance.  In short walking distance you have The National Gallery of Iceland, Reykjavík Art Museum, National Museum of Iceland, The Nordic House and The University of Iceland. There is about five minutes walk to the Hljomskalagardur by The Tjorn (Pond) where it is wonderful to stroll among  trees, flowers and birds. But you don´t have to walk much further until you are surrounded with life in downtown Reykjavik, where the restaurants, bars and the shops are. 

Our Apartment

The apartment has one bedroom with a quality double bed and a closet. The bathroom is spacious, with a shower and a washing machine. The living room is a open kitchen, with all common appliances, dining table and a very comfortable double sleeping sofa for two adults. So there is a good sleeping arrangement for four people. Separately we also offers two spacious rooms with a private entrance for rent.

Apartment: Bedroom with double bed and a single bed, living room with a sofa that can be changed to a double bed.  It is possible to accommodate five people.  Other facilities, bathroom with a shower, fully equiped kitchen. Living room with dining table, cd-player, TV, radio, DVD-player.  Small balcony. Children friendly area.
