Reykjavik family park - Reykjavik ZooIn the other part of the Zoo is so called Family Park where families enjoy being outdoors together in the heart of Reykjavik. All year round, there is something on the program that will appeal to everyone in the family. Refreshments are available at a cafeteria that is open all year-round. During the summer a snack bar/shop is open too, where visitors can buy hot dogs to barbecue for themselves on a large grill. The Iceland farm animal, wild live ZooEvery species of distinct Icelandic farm animal is kept at the Zoo, along with several wild native species. Animials are generally kept in paris with their young and in several varieties. Represented at the Zoo are the distinctive Icelandic horse, sheep, along with Icelandic varieties of cows, pigs, goats, foxes, mink, chickens, turkeys, pigenons, reindeer and seals. The Reykjavik Zoo started up in 1990 and is open all year. Science World Museum, Reykjavik - IcelandLast summer a Science World Museum was opened in the park which became an instant hit, and it will be exciting to see how it develops over the coming years. Objects are designed to open the minds of the young and older alike to the wonders of science and technology in an accessible and, above all, fun way. Science World is different from other museums in that guests are expected to touch and personally experience most of the objects. Then there is the coffee-house for when guests want to simply relax while watching the work in action. Price:
