Silfur is a new style restaurant with new French cuisine. The menu is built up with the worlds best ingredients available with a wine list to match it, the wine list is rumoured for its variety of excellent wines from around the world.

Silfur opened in the summer of 2006 and has since established itself as one of the best restaurants in Iceland. Silfur is located in the Art Deco Hotel Borg, in the centre of Reykjavík.

The Executive Chef Steinn Óskar Sigurðsson, Icelandic Chef of the year 2006 and Gunnar Karl Gíslason member of the Icelandic culinary team make a great pair in the kitchen and serve guests new style French cuisine in a breathtaking environment.

With new age Art Deco interior and beautiful design, Silfur gives you the experience of supreme surroundings where a mix of Icelandic lava, nature stone and fire meets Art Deco and superior lighting. Lunch:
Monday to Friday 11:30 to 14:00 Closed Saturday and Sunday.

Dinner:
Sunday to Thursday 18:00 to 23:30 and Friday to Saturday 18:00-01:00(last time for dinner guests to arrive 23:30)

Friday and Saturday we are open to 01:30. You don't have to eat to enjoy and there is a DJ playing Friday- and Saturday night
