About Stokkalaekur Stokkalaekur boasts a year round travel service, including a small country hotel with a bar and a restaurant, a summer house which rests in a crevice by the brook, and a camping ground with outdoor barbecue and a campfire on Saturday evenings. A five-day tour on big-trail: Big-Trail is a new hiking path, either starting out from Landmannalaugar or Landmannahellir. The following description applies to the hike from Landmannahellir. The trail lies through remote areas of Laufaleitir in a magnificent and extremely diverse landscape. The tour guides are native people of Rangarvellir and experienced shepherds. Big-Trail is approximately 63 km long and is fairly easy to travel. |
