Reykjavík, Iceland's shopping capital, may very well be the
best-kept secret of the cosmopolitan shopping enthusiast. Despite rumors

A: VAT is a value added tax which is included in the purchase price. This
makes up to 19,68% of the price. The tax is used for social purposes in
Iceland and as a foreign resident you can hence, claim this tax back and
hence, shop TAX-FREE in Iceland.
