The Civil Aviation Administration of Iceland and the University of Iceland established the research and development firm Tern Systems Inc. The objective is to further advance the 20 years of cooperation between these two partners in the areas of system development and fundamental research studies in the areas of air traffic control.

Services and solutions to the ATC community
Tern Systems offers a variety of services and solutions to the ATC community.  This covers areas from consultative evaluations, project management to various types of system solutions satisfying the needs of customers not necessary demanding the main stream requirements.

Tern Systems Inc
Tern Systems Inc specializes in the development of systems for air traffic and air traffic control. We provide solutions in the traditional area of air traffic control, such as radar and flight data processing systems as well as the next generation ADS  type solutions.

Additionally we provide turn-key simulation solutions in the area of controller training, air-space evaluation as well as for testing of third party solutions.
