Hamar Gesthouse in Vestmannaeyjar
Hotel Hamar is in the central of the town and was originally opened in 1983.  In the hotel are 14 rooms and some of them are nonsmoking rooms.  In all rooms are bathrooms with shower, radio and TV.

The ferry, Herjolfur, equipped to take on cars, sails daily from a port on the south coast. If not driving yourself, buses leave the bus deport in Reykjavík at appropriate times.

Flights, several a day, take 20 minutes from Reykjavík. It is also possible to take a short 5 minute chartered flight from a small airport on the south coast at Bakki.

Stores, banking, and other services are all available in Vestmannaeyjar, including art and craft galleries where hand made souvenirs and gifts that reflect the island are avaiable.
