  • Aquarium and Museum of Natural History (South Iceland)
    Museum is divided into three areas, the mounted birds and fish, the aquarium and the rock and mineral display. Unusual colored Guillemont, which is the only known one in existence.
  • Akranes
    The town of Akranes lies just across the blue straits and is visible from Reykjavík on a clear day. Settled by Irish brothers in the year 880, it is now a blossoming industrial town with a focus on fishing and fish production. An area worth visiting is the seafront, especially the beautiful sandy beach, Langisandur, stretched below the center of town.
  • Akureyri
    Akureyri is one of the oldest towns in the country and has been a commercial port and market town since the 16th Century. Today, this “capital city of the North” boasts a population of over 15.000 people. It is regarded as the commercial centre of North Iceland, with a steady base in fisheries, agriculture and services.
