Audejas produces high quality upholstery fabrics of original designs and colours. About 500 people are employed in the enterprise.

In 1946 a very small enterprise, Audejas, was founded. It was equipped with wooden hand looms for production of cotton kerchiefs and jacquard bedspreads. In 1956 this enterprise was extended into a larger state enterprise with Czech Textima mechanical weaving looms and Soviet machinery for the production of cotton yarn and jacquard fabrics. In 1987, Audejas underwent one more reconstruction, with equipment from Japan (Nissen), France (Saurer), Belgium (Michel van de Wiele) and other countries being added. A computer system from Sophis (Belgium) has had a great impact on the creation of new modern articles making special designs and colours according to clients' wishes.

Modern technology makes it possible to produce up to 3 million metres per year of jacquard fabrics using natural and synthetic yarn. The main production is jacquard upholstery and decorative fabrics of cotton and cotton with polyester. Jacquard and plain velvet of cotton and acrylic yarn are in great demand and make up about 20% of total production. Printed jacquard fabrics and flock are also very popular among our clients.

Traditionally, the production of AB Audejas has been exported to the Baltic States and the CIS countries. Exports to Western countries were started in 1991 and have been successfully developed.

Since 1991 Audejas has been a constant exhibitor at world-famous fabric fairs like Decosit in Brussels, Heimtextil in Frankfurt (Main), Interzum in Köln, Hometextile America in Orlando and many others. Every year the company takes part in local shows (Baltic Textile and Leather in Vilnius) as well as the fairs organized in the Balitc States and the CIS countries.
