Azovlitas - heavy plates producer in Lithuania

The Lithuanian-Ukrainian joint venture Azovlitas was founded in 1992 by the Ukrainian steel mill Azovstal Iron & Steel Works and the Lithuanian company Animus.

The director is Mindaugas Plukas. The company has an authorised capital of LTL 2 000 000. In 1996 turnover was LTL 62 319 095, with a profit of LTL 1 683 347. The firm currently has a staff of 30.

Azovstal Iron & Steel Works is the largest Ukrainian heavy plates producer and is known in the world steel market owing to the excellent quality of its products. The mill has been approved by the American Bureau of Shipping, the American Petroleum Institute, Lloyd’s Register of Shipping, Det Norske Veritas, Germanischer Lloyd’s and other classification companies, for the manufacture of various types of steel, so confirming the quality of its products.
