Drauda is a Lithuanian-German insurance company founded in April 1991 and was the first western European insurance company to begin operations in the country. It is the largest private insurance company in Lithuania. The main shareholder is Alte Leipziger Europa Beteiligungsgesellschaft AG (of Oberursel, Germany), which owns over 99% of the shares. With head offices in Vilnius, the company has subsidiaries in Kaunas, Klaipeda, Panevezys, Siauliai and agents in many parts of the country. It provides all types of insurance for individuals, companies and organizations. Insurance coverage offered includes property: building and contents, business liability, marine, engineering, motor, accident, business interruption, health and accident travelling abroad. The Lithuanian-German company Drauda Life Insurance was founded in 1995 in Vilnius. It offers various types of life insurance policies. The partners of Alte Leipziger Unternehmensverbund are: Baso of Minsk, Belarus; Basko-Garant of Kaliningrad, Russia; Bico of Tallinn, Estonia; Hestia of Sopot, Poland; Rigas Fenikss of Riga, Latvia and Russ of St Petersburg, Russia. |
