The Guest House Jurate is based in the heart of the Curonian Spit -- in the centre of the town of Nida. There used to be a mailpost inn on the same spot, and after 1807 it was called "Queen Louisa". Legend holds that Quinne Louisa spent one night in January 1807 trying to escape from the French army. Since that time the location and exterior as well as the owners, have changed many times for various reasons; fires, wind-drifted sand, etc. The rest house was rebuilt after the Second World War with the name of Jurate, the Lithuanian goddess. Today, it is one of the most popular hotels in the town. It can accommodate approximately 220 people. The rooms are double, with all conveniences. The hotel can accept guests all year round. There is a restaurant, several bars, a sauna with a pool, a fitting room, massage service, bicycle rental and a money exchange. Major credit cards are accepted.
