The hotel Nidos Pusynas is a small hotel that offers the city-dweller a comfortable place to have a rest. It is situated in Nida, occupying a few old fishermen's houses right on the shore of the Curonian Lagoon. The exterior is reminiscent of an age gone by, but the interior will satisfy even the most refined traveller's taste. Its perfectly decorated rooms with comfortable furnishings, modern toilet and bathroom facilities, satellite TV and helpful staff will please even the most fastidious guest. Each villa has its own water supply system, with the water filtred and heated throughout the year. The rooms are also equipped with central heating. The four villas with single, double and de luxe suites are open all year round. Each is equipped with common sitting rooms and fireplace, so the guests in each villa can get together around the fire to discuss the events of the day over a glass of beer or some other drink. There is also a cafŽ and a service centre where one can hire an interpreter and rent a car or a bicycle. A 1200-m long path leads from the villas to the sea. For those who stay for longer periods, coach tours are organized to Klaipeda, Palanga and Kaliningrad and boat trips on the Curonian Lagoon. The villas are only 500 m from the town centre, 700 m from the pier and 100 m from the house of the famous German writer Thomas Mann. The Nidos smilte Guesthouse is a favourite place for artists. Among local inhabitants and visitors, the Guesthouse is referred to as Herman Blod's hotel. It is only 300 m from the town centre and is right on the shore of the lagoon. The windows of the dining room, bar and restaurant face the Lagoon. The Guesthouse owns a few smaller houses. The house "Vaiva" is close to the lagoon. Another, "Pasaku namelis" ("Little Fairy-Tale House") stands on a hill; close by there is the house "Ausrele" ("Dawn"). "Banga" ("Wave") and "Bangele" guesthouses ("Little Wave") are both in the centre of Nida. |
