The company is situated on a 13.3 ha site in Joniskis city. There are good approaching railways and roads. The distances to big cities are: Siauliai 40 km, Vilnius 250 km and Riga (Republic of Latvia) 90 km.

There are 291 employees, 74 of whom work on a poultry farm.

The history of company goes back to the fourth decade of this century. In 1957 the present large enterprise was established on the basis of several small firms. It was the first enterprise in Lithuania that started producing compound feed. After 40 years of strenuous work it is now a modern enterprise producing compound feed and macaroni flour and buying, storing, preparing and selling grain. The main productive subdivisions are:

Compound feed shop
Compound feed and protein-vitamin-mineral concentrates are produced for all kinds of poultry, pigs and cattle. Production capacity is 300 tons of feed daily. A separate dosing-mixing line is used for production of concentrates,; its technological level and computerised operation ensure a high level of dosing precision. Microsupplements can be added by this line, in concentrations as low as 0.01%. There are lines for adding fat and molasses, too.

Formulas of feed are designed according to customer wishes, optimising the ratio of price and quality. Production, which can be granulated, unpacked and crumbled, is sold packed in sacks of 20-50 kg or in bulk. The overall capacity of packing lines is 18 tons per hour.

Grain storage
About 45,000 tons of grain can be stored here. Technological lines for reception, harvesting and drying can process up to 1500 tons per day of wet grain. Harvest can be received and taken away by railway and trucks.

Sidelines
At the end of 1995 the company purchased the Mikoliskis poultry farm in the Pasvalys district. At present about 170,000 laying hens and about 50,000 broilers can be kept here and 500,000 chickens can be hatched at this auxiliary branch. However, these capacities are not fully exploited. At present 90,000 laying hens are kept at the farm and more than 65,000 eggs are collected daily. Laying hens of the Tetra SL and Red-Hisex strains, and broilers of the Cobb-500 strain, are bred. At present the poultry processing line is being mounted. It will have a capacity of 2000 chickens per shift. Various poultry products will be produced (frankfurters, ground meat, smoked chicken, etc.).

The enterprise also owns a farm with 1500 pigs. It is used as an experimental base to assess the quality of compound and protein-vitamin-mineral concentrated feed produced by the company.
