Known for many years as the Panevezys Glass Works, it was registered in 1997 as the joint-stock company. There are 1400 employees working in the factory. Its premises cover 16 ha.

AB Panevezio Stiklas is the largest manufacturer of glass and related products, not only in Lithuania but in the Baltic countries as a whole.

High quality glass and related products are supplied to builders, furniture manufacturers, vehicle manufacturers and services. Glass containers are supplied to food and drink processors.

The largest part of production is exported to Poland, Germany, Holland, Finland, Sweden, Italy, the Czech Republic, Norway, Denmark, the Ukraine, Moldovia, Belorus, Russia, Estonia, Latvia and other countries. AB Panevezio Stiklas manufactures widely applied sheet glass in thicknesses of 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 mm. Produced by Pittsburgh method, it has high light transmission and is used for glazing buildings and greenhouses. The glass is cut on a computerised cutting table.

Insulating glass units are manufactured, using a new technological line from the Austrian company Peter Lisec GES.M.B.H. Double and triple insulating glass units are produced from Finnish polished glass (manufactured by the Float method) or from our own non-polished glass (manufactured by the Pittsburgh method).

The factory produces laminated windscreens for more than 200 types of cars. Certificates for them are registered at the vehicle registration centre in Helsinki, Finland. The edges of different types of windscreens are painted by the silk-printing method.

Flat tempered glass is produced from all types of sheet glass. Tempered glass is 5-7 times stronger than ordinary glass. Furthermore if tempered glass breaks it splits into very fine, but not sharp pieces, which do not cause injury.

AB Panevezio Stiklas produces various types of glass for furniture. The glass edges are polished, ground and bevelled, and holes with a diameter from 5 to 100 mm are drilled, using modern equipment. On request the glass can be tempered.

Panevezys Glass Works is one of the largest industrial enterprises in the northeast Lithuania.

An international ceramics symposium is held every year. Ceramic artists come from various countries to create clay compositions, which later can be admired by visitors at the Panevezys Art Gallery.
