It is also a leading provider of new banking services in Lithuania such as investment banking, brokerage and custody, import and pre-export financing, correspondent banking and the management of salary accounts for companies. A combination of conservative and innovative approaches granted the bank the chance to take advantage of market opportunities while adhering to the principles of universal banking. Vilniaus Bankas was the first on the market to realize the importance of information disclosure, and have started to present financial statements in accordance with IAS and audited by international auditors since 1993. Vilniaus Bankas were also the first bank in the Baltic states to obtain a credit rating from an international credit rating agency, Thomson Bank Watch, and the ratings indicate that it is among the best in Central and Eastern Europe.
