Diplomatic Service Agency

The Sole shareholder of the State Stock Company “Diplomatic Service Agency” is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Statutes of the Company was registered in the Register of Enterprise on March 23, 1998. The Company is the legal successor of the rights, liabilities and properties of the State Stock Company “Rosme”.

The equity capital of the Company is 1 577 091.00 LVL.In its activities the Company complies with the “Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations” of April 18, 1961, as well as with the laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia and Statutes of the Company. The main activities of the Company are as follows:

administration of real estates, leasing and hiring, appraisal of real estates and, selection of them for the needs of diplomatic and international organisations in Latvia and abroad; management of real estates, including maintenance there of under the contracts signed, administration and coordination of administration of real estates of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Latvia and abroad, under the rules of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs;
investments in real estates;
assessment of real estates;
implementation of special purpose projects on behalf of stock holders and clients;
leasing of recreation houses and cottages, other services for recreation needs for diplomatic missions;
intermediary and juridical services in transaction with real estates and registering of real estates in the Land Book, preparation of necessary documents;
emergency repair services to buildings;
construction of buildings, repair works, reconstruction, renovation, engineering-technical works;
works of design and architecture;
juridical services - consultation and representation of persons in the court in compliance with the legislation, preparation of draft laws and resolutions, consultations on application of tax regulations and on book-keeping, accountancy issues;
providing information on tourism in Latvia, organisation of travelling;
arrangement for medical services for members of the staff of diplomatic missions and international organisations;
tax-free services in accordance with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.

The managing body of the Company is the General Meeting and the Board. The task and obligations of the State as the Company’s shareholder are carried out by three authorities.

Further activities of the Company will be performed in accordance with its new name, that is - not only management, leasing and hiring of real estates, but also providing for the wide range of services for members of the diplomatic staff of the diplomatic missions working in Latvia, as well as for the members of their families.
