Beside ship repairs, Mangaly Shiprepair Yard in Riga is also handling all kinds of cargo, in bulk, containers, refrigerated and packed.

Mangaly Shiprepair Yard Ltd (MS) is situated in the heart of Riga Harbour on the right bank of the Daugava river, about 3 km from Riga Gulf.

Mangaly Shiprepair Yard Ltd was established in 1944 as a repairing base for fishing vessels from the Western Parts of the USSR, and the company was privatised in December 1995. Today MS is a public stock company, with six private persons as main shareholders.

Mangaly Shiprepair Yard in Riga repairs ships with a docking length of up to 125 meters and docking weight of 4,500 tons.

During 1997, 34 vessels were repaired at Mangaly Shiprepair Yard Ltd, mainly from Dutch, Swedish and British ship owners. MS repairs ships of all types with a docking length of up to 125 meters and docking weight of 4,500 tons. MS has two floating docks and can also repair large vessels without docking. The total length of the piers is 600 meters and it is possible vessels with a diving depth of up to 7,5 meters.

Mangaly Shiprepair Yard Ltd is also handling cargo, mainly bulk cargo in soft rubber containers, cargoes in heavy-molded bales, packed piece goods, refrigerated goods in wooden boxes, cardboard boxes and blocks. All kinds of container cargoes up to 1 ton are handled, including cargoes molded on pallets, loads packed in thermofilms, packed saw timber and round timber in strops, weighting up to 5 tons.

Mangaly Shiprepair Yard Ltd also carries out:
