Sun Gate Forwarding Agency was founded in 1992. We handle and transport by rail and road general and bulk cargo, industrial heavy loads, perishable food stuffs and consumer goods, excise cargoes and cargoes labelled as dangerous. The direct container block train service from Riga Commercial Port to Moscow is a well functioning and efficient transport system. Block train technology provides for simultaneous shipment of up to 100 TEUs of maximum payload, their delivery to the customer door in Moscow and safe return to Riga Port. Transit time does not exceed 3-4 days including terminal handling in Riga and Moscow.

In addition to dry container service we arrange for reliable and efficient rail on-carriage of refrigerated cargo to Moscow in reefer containers and the delivery to the customer door. Power supply is guaranteed on the whole route.

The reefer train is composed of 10-12 specially equipped flatcars and a generator railcar. Its capacity is 10-12x40’ or 12-16x20’ reefer containers.

If the customer desires, we effect customs bonded delivery of the goods in dry and reefer containers to ‘consignee’s doors’.

Sun Gate is a member of the Through Transport Mutual Insurance Association (TT Club) that gives cargo additional protection against transport related risks.
