Population
of Norway The majority of the population is of Nordic descent (tall, fair-skinned and blond). The Sami people form an ethnic minority of some 40,000 individuals, mostly in the north. Their culture and language are different from that of the rest of Norway. Immigrants from the Third World must be regarded as an ethnic minority, in that many foreign workers and their families have established permanent residence in Norway. |
