Bank Austria was the first bank in foreign majority ownership to appear on the Slovene market in 1991. A year later, it was joined by Banka Creditanstalt. As a result of the merger of their parent banks in Austria, Banka Creditanstalt d.d. merged with Bank Austria d.d. in Slovenia on 2nd November, 1998.
The new bank has full authorizations for the performance of a wide range of banking services for customers. Also operating within this bank group are CA IB Securities, d.d., Ljubljana, which provides consulting services in investment banking, and CA-SKB Leasing d.o.o., Ljubljana, which is engaged in leasing activities.
Slovenia and Austria are traditional foreign trade partners. Austria is Slovenia's fourth major partner in the exchange of goods, and the largest capital investor in Slovenia.
As part of an extensive international banking network, the Bank Austria Creditanstalt Slovenija bank group is capable of offering numerous financial and consulting services to Slovene and international companies.
