Yesterday and today

Celje’s first printers began work in 1788. Initially, these “black artists” printed only books and newspapers, but two and a half centuries ago they began printing other materials as well. Tiskarna Mohorjeve druzbe was the immediate predecessor of the Cetis printing house. For the two decades following 1970, Cetis was merged with Aero but became independent again in 1991 and a joint-stock company in 1996.

Today Cetis is a modern graphics company and a member of IBFI (International Business Forms Industries) and FINAT (International Federation of Manufacturers and Converters of Pressure-Sensitive and Heatseal Materials on Paper and Other Base Materials). It has subsidiary companies and representative offices in Croatia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Macedonia, Hungary, Italy, Bulgaria, Austria, Albania, and Great Britain. Cetis products are exported to almost all European countries.

The Cetis approach

The company’s identity and development are reflected in the slogan “Business Communication Culture.” By applying the philosophy behind this slogan, we have expanded our range of products to include the most sophisticated and creative printed materials and raised the scope of business information to a higher, more useful level. Our intention is not only to satisfy the needs of our customers through reliable business conduct and products of the highest quality but also to have more to offer through new, better, more appealing, more practical, more rational, and technologically more appropriate solutions for business communications.

The company’s primary advantage lies in its long printing tradition, the integrity of its service, and its policy of guaranteeing customers products of the highest quality according to ISO 9001 standards. The requirements of our customers, however, are our major concern: success not just for Cetis but for our customers as well is our main objective.

Cetis is setting new trends, not only in the graphics industry but also in all other branches of industry that employ our products. New challenges are viewed as an incentive to seek improved solutions. Production standards are high, the quality of products and services is constantly monitored, and the organization of production is rational and computer-supported. Our technology is of the best quality, our market strategy flexible, our designs attractive, and our materials environmentally friendly.

Our aim is to produce intelligent and integrated forms and the best quality labels, envelopes, and protected printed materials. From concept to finished product, our unique approach to customer service includes consultation, design, production, and delivery. Only in this way can Cetis maintain its reputation and increase its presence on foreign markets.

Activities of the company

Our efforts at Cetis toward transforming ourselves into a graphics company of the future are already evident in the range of products that we make and market. Our basic focus will continue to be on computer and business forms, self-adhesive and non-adhesive labels, advertising materials, securities and other protected printed materials, public forms, printed materials for lotteries, and, of course, the entire design and graphic preparation of these products.

Among our most modern printed materials, special mention should be made of our plastic cards, data mailers, integrated printed materials for business communication, forms for optical reading, and, of course, the printing of various data for addressing, enveloping, and dispatching printed material by post, self-adhesive computer labels, our extremely successful series of calendars, stationery and other paper supplies for offices and schools, bonds, shares, vouchers, and cheques.

We constantly monitor world trends in our field in order to know where to invest our efforts in future. With the digitalization of production, our competitive prices apply even when the quantities required by our customers are small.

Future goals

The scope and variety of production at Cetis have certainly outgrown the needs of the Slovene market, and we have therefore adopted a global strategy to increase our international business. Increasing productivity has raised our exports, and the production of simpler printed materials will be transferred abroad. Our general strategy is to increase our flexibility in order to adapt quickly to the needs of individual customers and to compete ever more successfully in the international arena. Further investment in new technology will continue the rapid growth of productivity.

We shall continue to strengthen our competitive advantages such as our favourable internal financial situation, knowledge of graphics technologies, the quality of our marketing and production operations, the tradition and reputation of our products, our wide range of products, our ability to offer creative solutions, and our reputation as a reliable supplier.
