The Drogerija public limited company is the leading Slovenian company in the cosmetics trade and has been providing for the beauty and well-being of Slovenes for the last forty-five years.

Drogerija started out on 1 May 1952 with several small retail outlets, a small warehouse and twenty employees. Within two years it had already begun wholesale activities, supplying most beauty shops, perfume vendors and shops with fashion accessories throughout the former Yugoslavia. In addition, it started its own production of beauty products. Apart from cologne, nail-varnish remover, hair gel, perfume and vanity bags, the best selling products were Redin - a first-class pig husbandry formulation; Cisten - a stain remover; Beltin - a bleaching agent; Mostin - an artificial substance for the preparation of alcoholic beverages; Konservan - a food preservative; and Toxit - an insecticide. Well, time has changed and so has Drogerija’s product and sales range.

Today Drogerija is one of the leading Slovene companies in the cosmetics trade and employs more than a hundred people. Apart from wholesale, the company sells its products in eight retail outlets of its own, which are mostly located in the centre of Ljubljana. Drogerija’s motto “for the beauty of life” indicates that its wide range of cosmetics and accessories by both Slovene and foreign producers includes health products and natural cosmetics. In addition, Drogerija is the exclusive Slovene representative for some internationally renowned cosmetics producers.

The popularity of Drogerija’s shops is also a result of the expert knowledge of the sales personnel, who regularly attend professional seminars both in Slovenia and abroad and who, apart from having a wide range of products to sell, can offer the customer a few warm words of advice.
