This year it is turning thirty years since the Delavnica Meglic workshop was founded. Our workshop started up at an unfavourable time for the business; however, by changing and expanding our product line throughout the years, we have managed to constantly increase our number of employees. At first there was one, then two, three, and our company today employs 26 people. For a long time we were known under the name of Delavnica Meglic, but a couple of years ago we became FERINA d.o.o. Maribor.

Throughout these years we have produced and sold many a product; we always bear in mind, though, that behind every product sold there is the team of our employees, without whom neither our workshop nor the company would exist.

The product/sales range of FERINA d.o.o. is very diverse. A large share of total production is exported to foreign markets. Foreign buyers from, for example, Germany and Austria are in particular interested in the following products made by our company:

• manufactures and semi- manufactures made of sheet metal;
• products which are the result of our own development and which have been created out of long experience, such as vertical band-saws
• runners for self-supporting sliding courtyard doors

In the Slovene market FERINA d.o.o. sells and installs:

• sectional garage doors, sectional industrial doors, BERRY folding doors, and roll-up doors from the world-renowned company HÖRMANN;
• self-supporting sliding courtyard doors and double and single folding courtyard door;
• gates.

All doors are available either with or without electrically driven shutters.

A large share of sales in the Slovene market constitute sales of machines: tin-processing machines, machine saws, column drilling machines.

There are several types of sliding door and methods of opening them.

Unlike other types of sliding door, the Self-supporting sliding courtyard door does not require runners on the lower part of the door opening for the door to slide. The advantage of this system, an innovation by FERINA, is clear - in the lower runners dirt often accumulates, obstructing or even disabling the door. The self-supporting sliding courtyard door suffers no such problems.

The device which we designed so as to enable the undisturbed operation of the self-supporting sliding courtyard door was given the name SAMKO. Given that in Slovenia also individual elements can be bought, we entitled the whole device the SAMKO PACKAGE; every element, however, has its own name and purpose or function and is needed for the door to operate effectively.

The SAMKO PACKAGE device is designed in such a way that it is possible to upgrade the door frame according to your choice; by size, form and pattern.

Ferina VTZ 1000 vertical band saw

Our product line of machine band-saws includes vertical band-saws for metals. The range of use of the vertical band-saw is very wide. It is intended for cutting metals and other material either square or circularly. The saw has a built-in stepless regulation with which the user can regulate the speed of the band, making the saw suitable for cutting different types of material. The saw band runners are made of hard high-alloyed steal, which ensures cutting accuracy and smooth running. All saws are built to conform to all safety regulations.
