Jelovica of Skofja Loka is a company that takes pride in its long tradition in the production of building joinery and prefabricated houses. With 800 employees, Jelovica is one of the largest companies in Skofja Loka, a picturesque medieval town only twenty-three kilometers from Ljubljana. Jelovica’s production program includes windows, shutters, interior and entrance doors, door frames, and prefabricated houses. The majority, some 54%, of our production is exported, mostly to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Turkey, Russia, Japan, and the countries of the former Yugoslavia.

Windows and Shutters

The basic raw material for the production of windows, balcony doors, panoramic walls, and shutters is high-quality spruce, meranti, and oak. We manufacture around 100,000 windows and 16,000 shutters annually in various shapes and dimensions, with the most modern opening mechanisms. Their surfaces are treated with impregnation or final top coats in various colours using environment, and human-friendly materials. We also manufacture windows in combinations of wood and aluminum.

In 1997, the company acquired certification and attestation for its soundproof (39 dB) and fireproof (20 minutes) windows.

Doors

Jelovica produces around 160,000 interior doors a year for both the domestic and export markets. Our range includes a number of types of interior doors, both plain and stylishly constructed. They are lacquered with colourless varnish, stained, or painted. Only environmentally-friendly materials are used in production.

Jelovica’s solid entrance doors are manufactured from laminated spruce or oak of the highest quality, fitted with thermal-insulating glass, and surface-finished with thick weather-resistant coats. We produce 6,000 entrance doors annually.

The company has acquired certification and attestation for its fireproof and soundproof doors.

Prefabricated Houses

Jelovica has considerable knowledge and experience in the field of prefabricated construction and annually produces around 40,000 square meters of housing. Jelovica houses are earthquake-safe because of their light construction and are extremely well insulated. In planning and design, Jelovica listens to the wishes of its customers and adapts to their requirements and possibilities, so we can truly claim that each house is unique.

Jelovica is a member of the association of German producers of prefabricated houses.

The certifications and attestations acquired from testing institutes in Slovenia (ZRMK-ZAG) and abroad (IFT in Rosenheim, Germany; the Staatlich autorisierte Versuchs und Prüfanstalt für Bauphysik und Fenstertechnik Institute in Graz, Austria; the Forestry Faculty in Zagreb, Croatia; the Otto Graf Institute in Stuttgart, Germany) are further proof that Jelovica products will meet your expectations.

In addition to being proven by such certificates, the quality of our products is also confirmed by the fact that Jelovica was Slovenia’s first producer of building joinery to acquire the ISO 9001 Certificate of Quality.
