The development of Johnson Controls-Ntu d.o.o. goes back to 1956 when Workshop II - production of rubberised horsehair and foam materials - was formed at the Tovarna usnja Slovenj Gradec leather factory. Backed by its long-standing business partner, Germany’s NAUE KG, with which a contract of joint investment was signed in 1972, the Ntu expanded to the field of polyurethane processing, and in 1992 it further expanded its range by adding the manufacturing of car headrests. The same year America’s Johnson Controls bought the majority stake in the Slovenj Gradec-based company. |
